Shortly after the Buffalo Bills signed veteran receiver John Brown to their practice squad, Stefon Diggs made a curious comment.
“The band’s almost back together,” Diggs told the media.
The final member of the band may not be too far behind Brown. On Monday night, Louie Del Rio of WIVB-TV reported that Cole Beasley is in Buffalo.
Sources confirmed to NYUP and Syracuse.com that Beasley is currently in Buffalo.
While there is nothing official to report in terms of Beasley returning to the Bills, a meeting would certainly make plenty of sense.
Outside of Stefon Diggs, Buffalo’s wide receivers have struggled to get open on a consistent basis for Josh Allen. Buffalo has especially struggled to come up with an answer at slot receiver. Isaiah McKenzie has been able to string together a few positive performances in 2022, but he has not been able to fill the role that Beasley once occupied.
During his tenure in Buffalo from 2019-2021, Beasley was dominant in the slot. He recorded 231 receptions for 2,438 yards and 11 touchdowns during his three seasons with the Bills and was named an All-Pro in 2020 after hauling in 82 receptions for 967 yards and four touchdowns.
The band is not back together just yet, but a reunion tour may not be far off.
