Florence Pugh has been seen for the first time in ex-boyfriend Zach Braff’s directorial debut A Good Person.

Sky Cinema tweeted a picture of Pugh’s character on Wednesday, promising that the acclaimed English actress would be like we have ‘never seen her before’ in Braff’s ‘story of loss and hope.’

Florence, 26, confirmed in August that she and the Scrubs star, 47, had quietly parted ways earlier this year.

‘@florencepugh as you’ve never seen her before in #AGoodPerson,’ tweeted Sky Cinema. ‘A Story of loss and hope directed by @zachbraff. Coming to Sky Cinema in 2023.’

A Good Person will showcase Pugh’s lead performance playing Allison – a young woman who strikes up an unlikely relationship with her would-be father-in-law, years after surviving the tragic accident that killed her fiancé.

Zach sang Florence’s praises during production, calling her ‘one of the best actresses working’ today.

Speaking to Collider in March, he said: ‘Florence Pugh’s performance in the movie, I know I’m biased, but it’s the most miraculous thing you will ever see.

‘I know that anything Florence does is incredible,’ Braff declared. ‘People say she’s maybe the best actress of her generation. I think she’s one of the best actresses working.’

Neither confirmed their relationship until the following December and their 21-year age gap quickly drew the attention of online trolls.

‘We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing,’ she shared, ‘because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.’

‘We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.’

The Don’t Worry Darling star did not reveal what drove them apart, but the pair are reportedly on good terms as the friendly exes engaged in a cheeky Instagram back-and-forth last month in November.
