I don’t know what National Streaming Day is, or whether or not it’s a federally recognized holiday. I do know Hulu is using it as an opportunity to offer up a great price on 3-months of its ad-supported subscription service, which is pretty nice of them.
Hulu is one of the most recognizable of the streaming services, and certainly one of the longest lived. It just announced a League of Extraordinary Gentlmen reboot by way of a new movie coming to the service, as well as a Predator prequel called Prey coming in August.
There’s also a new Alien movie coming to Hulu, and the beloved Netflix show Schitt’s Creek is moving to Hulu exclusively in the US.
You can also save with the Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu bundle, but it doesn’t look like this deal applies. The savings comes versus subscribing separately to each service, coming in at 37% versus the alternative, which is nice.
With the fracturing of streaming into dozens of different services, each requiring their own subscription, it’s hard to know if it’s still cheaper to cancel your cable, but at least $1 a month is better than any cable service will offer you.
Oh, and Pam & Tommy is excellent. Check that one out for sure.
